The Quality Director is accountable for leading and continuously improvingbusinessgroupwidequality assuranceprogrammesfor Large Megawatt (LMW) generator integration in ahighmixmanufacturing environment. This role drives excellence in quality, regulatorycomplianceand customer experience while reducing total cost of quality. The position partners closely withcrossfunctionalleaders across Operations, Engineering, Field Service, IT,HRand Sales/Marketing to ensure alignment with business and customer expectations.
Leadenterprisewidequality strategy for LMW generator integration, ensuring regulatory compliance, alignment to customerrequirements,and continuous improvement in ahighmixmanufacturing environment.
Own and improve LMW customer experience and quality performance metrics, drivingcrossfunctionalactions to enhance performance and reduce total cost of quality.
Partner with C&I manufacturing sites to resolve systemic anddaytodayquality issues, influencing teams to deliver consistent,bestinclassresults.
Develop and execute amultiyearquality transformation roadmap, progressing theorganizationfrom Quality Control to Quality Assurance and Process Excellence.
Establish,deployand continuously improve the Generac Quality Management System, including standard tools, methodologies,auditsand best practices.
Set product quality goals, metrics and test methods during product design and development; regularly present quality performance and insights to senior leadership and customers.
Build,leadand develop ahighperformingquality organization through effective talentselection, coaching, performancemanagement,and succession planning.
Coach business leaders and teams to adopt a common vision for quality, continuous improvement and operational excellence across processes and technologies.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
10+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven leadership background in Quality, Lean, Process Excellence and/or Six Sigma environments.
Advanced degree (MS and/or MBA).
Experienceoperatingwithin amultisite, matrixed globalorganization.
Demonstratedtrack recordof performance, career progression and results within quality or continuous improvement functions.
Experience leading teams across both direct and indirect reporting structures.
Certification as a Quality Engineer anddemonstratedapplication of Six Sigma tools and Lean methodologies.
Willingness and ability to travel regionally and internationally up to 50%.
This role is critical to strengthening Generac's LMW quality performance and customer experience.The Quality Director will shape how quality is embedded across product integration, manufacturingprocessesand customer touchpoints, directly influencing operational excellence, regulatorycompliance,and cost efficiency. Through leadership,strategy,andcrossfunctionalpartnership, this role will accelerate the organization's journey towardsworldclassprocess excellence and sustainable quality outcomes.
Generac is committed to fair andequitablecompensation practices.The salary range for this role based in East Peoria, Illinois is $156,100 - 215,000 USD.This compensation willultimately bein line with the location in which the position is filled.Final compensation for this role will bedeterminedbyvarious factorssuch as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills,certificationsand geographic location.This role is eligible for variablecompensationincludingshort-termand long-term incentives.
