We’re seeking a Principal 3D Environment Artist to support a leading gaming studio. This position a temp role and it involves crafting stylized environments that enhance game storytelling and player experience.


Principal 3D Environment Artist Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a diverse team to develop engaging player environments.
  • Ensure environment assets meet platform and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with design and engineering to find innovative solutions prioritizing gameplay.
  • Provide feedback during playtests and craft reviews to refine art assets.
  • Rapidly create prototypes for quick testing and iteration of environment elements.


Principal 3D Environment Artist Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in 3D environment art creation.
  • Knowledge of modular construction methods.
  • Expertise in traditional low-poly, hand-painted, and stylized workflows.
  • Skilled in 2.5D modeling techniques and illustrative styles.
  • Proficient in Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance, with a technical problem-solving aptitude.
