Job description

This Internship supports the Casualty team by assisting with various claim handling duties. Throughout the school year, this position is part-time 15 - 20 hours per week based on class schedule and our company's business hours. This position may be 40 hours during the summer and breaks contingent upon work needs. This internship can be in office, hybrid, or remote.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting with many admin tasks associated with Bodily Injury, Uninsured Motorist, Underinsured Motorist and Medical Payments Files
  • Process Medical Records Requests
  • Assisting with uploading documents to or from Sharefile or other platforms
  • Follow-up calls to other insurance carriers and police departments
  • Department projects as needed
  • Assist Casualty team members with various claim tasks as needed
  • Other claim duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently pursuing Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Initiative to take on new challenges
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
