As the Wilson Retail Store Manager, you are the head coach in your store. You will leverage your entrepreneurial spirit to drive the success of your business, elevate and develop your team, and deliver an exceptional community experience.  

As the Store Manager, you embody Wilson’s core values and our commitment that the most important role in the company is the Athlete Advisor. You are in service to your team and your community. You are responsible for delivering on the core objectives of achieving sales plan and store profitability through strategic vision, scheduling, and coaching of your team.  

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

People: 

  • Consistently maintain a fully staffed team through proactive recruiting, hiring, and training.
  • Identify and develop talent for your internal pipeline.
  • Manage team performance through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability. 
  • Your team is a direct reflection of your leadership. 

Community: 

  • You will drive traffic and brand love through strategic community outreach, authentic connections in your tennis community, a deep understanding of your local market, and monthly community programming.
  • Schedule and attend monthly tennis lessons with your team.
  • Identify, onboard, and engage store ambassadors.
  • Maintain the in-store community board with up-to-date information to ensure your store is the tennis concierge for your community. 

Operations: 

  • Lead and execute impactful visual merchandising standards in partnership with the US Visual Merchandising Manager.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving and processing procedures in partnership with the Retail Operations team. 
  • Collaborate with your peers and cross-functional partners with strong interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Schedule your floor to ensure optimal athlete experience and coverage at all times. 

Business: 

  • Use Key Performance Indicators to analyze and drive your business forward with educated and informed decision making.
  • Deliver weekly and quarterly business reviews. 
  • Create quarterly strategies for business growth and team development, always in the pursuit of excellence.
  • Consistently deliver on sales targets and maintain labor efficiency through strategic scheduling and floor leadership. 

This role requires three to five years of retail leadership experience, including fashion or sportswear retail, and a demonstrated ability to build long-lasting, meaningful relationships within the tennis community. A passion for sport is always a plus!

What We’ll Provide

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $72,000 - $80,000 per year at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program.
