Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)

Location: Covington, WA
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Pay Range: $30-$40 per hour (based on classroom experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Certified Behavior Technicians (CBTs) to provide direct behavioral support services to students in an educational setting.

In this role, you will work closely with behavior specialists, educators, and support teams to implement individualized behavior intervention plans, foster positive student outcomes, and support the social, behavioral, and academic growth of students. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young adults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the direction of a supervising behavior specialist.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support services.
  • Collect, track, and maintain accurate behavioral and performance data.
  • Support students in developing communication, social, emotional, and adaptive skills.
  • Utilize positive behavior support strategies to address challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure consistency across educational environments.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adhere to ethical, professional, and confidentiality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
  • CBT certification or equivalent behavioral support credential accepted, where applicable.
  • Safety-Care Training through QBS (Quality Behavioral Solutions) required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with behavioral or developmental needs preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative educational team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous classroom or school-based experience.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
  • Experience implementing behavior intervention plans and collecting behavioral data.
