Job description

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions has an exciting career opportunity available as a Hearing Representative. This position will be Remote Work from Home position however the individual must reside in Texas. Occasional Travel maybe Required. The Full Time schedule for this role will be Monday- Friday 8:00am -5:00pm with additional hours and weekends may be necessary.
Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide advocacy work for individuals seeking disability benefits through the Social Security Administration (SSI/SSDI) programs. This position assists in fully developing claims for the Social Security Administration and plays a pivotal role in representing disabled individuals in front of an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of Hearing Operations (OHO).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Represent claimants before ALJ's; arguing cases for a favorable outcome.
  • Write pre-hearing and post hearing briefs when necessary.
  • Evaluate claims for validity.
  • Write OTR's assigned by Disability Manager.
  • Meeting company productivity and performance standards.
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or EDPNA in good standings.
  • If holding a JD, admission to practice law and clean disciplinary record in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia is also required.
  • Minimum one year of experience representing claimants in SSD/SSI hearings.
  • Experience in drafting On The Record Decisions (OTR)
  • Experience drafting briefs for the Appeals Council.
  • Understanding of non-medical aspects of the Social Security disability practice (income/resources for SSI, past-due benefits, and representative fees)
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving vulnerable and underserved populations.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload of hearings and Appeals Council briefs,
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and leadership potential.
  • Remote and Hybrid positions require internet connect speeds that meet the Company's upload and download requirements.
