Reports to: Head of Sales
Travel: Approximately 30%

We’re looking for a Technical Solution Specialist with a strong background in commercial AV systems and projection screens who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting customers, and working closely with industry professionals.

What You’ll Do
As the technical expert for our Screens Division, you’ll support customers throughout the entire project lifecycle from system design and product selection to implementation and post-sale technical support.

Technical Sales Support

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for dealers, integrators, consultants, and end users
  • Recommend projection screen solutions based on customer requirements and application needs
  • Support projects involving corporate AV, higher education, government, houses of worship, live events, rental & staging, and commercial installations
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions
  • Assist with system design recommendations, technical proposals, and RFP responses
  • Provide installation guidance and technical troubleshooting

Product & Technical Expertise

  • Become the subject matter expert on AV Stumpfl projection screen systems and accessories
  • Develop technical documentation, installation guides, FAQs, and training materials
  • Monitor competitive products and industry trends within the commercial AV market
  • Train new dealers and integration partners on products and best practices

Project Coordination

  • Support projects from initial consultation through order completion
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment
  • Verify product configurations, pricing, inventory availability, and custom project specifications
  • Maintain CRM records, project updates, and customer communications
  • Coordinate custom orders with engineering teams in Austria

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business development, warehouse, and operations teams
  • Support rental, staging, and permanent installation projects
  • Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and product improvements
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams on new opportunities for the U.S. market

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial AV integration, AV distribution, or technical product support
  • Experience specifying, installing, or supporting projection screen systems
  • Background working in commercial AV environments such as corporate, higher education, government, houses of worship, rental & staging, or live events
  • Strong ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with projection screen manufacturers such as AV Stumpfl, Draper, Da-Lite, Stewart Filmscreen, Elite Screens, or similar brands
  • Understanding of screen surfaces, gain, throw distance, ambient light rejection, and projection system design
  • Experience with motorized screen controls including 12V Trigger, RS-232, or Low Voltage Control (LVC)
  • Background supporting rental & staging and permanent installation projects
  • Experience working with European manufacturers or distribution organizations
  • CTS (AVIXA) certification or similar industry credential
  • Experience with electrical installation or low-voltage wiring
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it relates to commercial AV installations
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
  • German language proficiency is a plus
