As a, Senior Quality & Process Engineer with deep expertise in Business Rules Engines (BRE), you will take ownership of validating and optimizing automated financial workflows, back-office processes, and the business rules that govern our core financial operations. This role blends process engineering, business analysis, and quality assurance to ensure our rule logic, workflow orchestration, and automated decisioning operate cleanly and accurately at scale.
You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Risk leaders to model, design, validate, and continuously improve BPMN workflows, DMN decision tables, and automation logic. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with one or more Business Rules Engines and a solid foundation in process testing and quality engineering within financial services or operationally intensive environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end testing and validation of automated financial and back-office processes, ensuring accuracy across BPMN workflows, DMN decision tables, and rule-driven logic.
  • Review, test, and optimize business rules across compliance, credit, funding eligibility, risk scoring, routing, and exception handling using BRE platforms.
  • Design, visualize, and validate workflow orchestration, decision models, and automation logic to ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate financial and operational requirements into clear process flows, rule sets, acceptance criteria, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Risk to ensure accurate automation, regulatory alignment, and process scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial back-office workflows, improve automation efficiency, and strengthen operational controls.
  • Establish and refine testing strategies, traceability matrices, and quality gates for rule-based and workflow-driven systems.
  • Support junior analysts and testers in understanding process modeling, automation logic, BRE concepts, and testing best practices.

What we look for:
  • 7+ years of combined experience in Business Analysis, Process Testing, Process Optimization, or Quality Engineering roles, preferably within financial services or back-office operations.
  • Experience with Camunda (BPMN/DMN) for process modeling, rule design, decision logic validation, and process simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more Business Rules Engines such as Drools, IBM ODM, Blaze Advisor, Pega, Corticon, InRule, or DMN-driven decision platforms.
  • Deep understanding of financial operations workflows: invoicing, payments, funding, credit, compliance, documentation, fraud/risk checks, and operational case management.
  • Strong experience validating automated workflows, rule execution, and decision paths across complex business scenarios.
  • Proven ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into testable process flows, rule sets, and acceptance criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
