Job Summary: Executes the activities necessary to provide prompt response on inquiries from people outside the Belton Plant concerning the availability of finished products. To ensure adequate material availability through a formal planning procedure and to schedule production and assembly processes to meet required customer service levels and meet promised shipping dates for finished goods. Works independently and collectively with buyer/planners to make decisions regarding the materials flow and production schedules at the Belton, SC facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes/supports plant safety efforts with the highest priority.
- Serve as Belton's representative to Marketing, Inside and Field Sales for customer quoting and product availability including date changes and management.
- Manages needs and correspondence with Product Engineering, Plant Engineering, Quality, Planning/Procurement and Manufacturing in quoting new design features and customer requests in product modification development.
- Works closely with Shipping/Receiving, Scheduling and Purchasing in servicing the needs of our customers' stock and special orders.
- Works closely with Cycle Counting program in support of Plant Raw and WIP Inventory management.
- Manage needs and correspondence with Colinx team for stocking issues and requirements associated with our FG product.
- Serve as Belton's point of contact for coordinating warranty returns in conjunction with Quality and the Colinx team.
- Responsible for management of purchasing and production schedules (including reviewing/releasing work and expediting of components) and activities related to assigned work cells and product families.
- Manages and replenishes renewal parts and miscellaneous component replenishment at Colinx.
- Constant review and management of activities supporting backlog avoidance/recovery and successful order date integrity assuring a positive customer experience.
- Needs working product knowledge and understanding of bill of materials and routings.
- Need proficiency in application of all Materials SAP/BUS system inputs/outputs.
- Performs any requests as needed in support of Materials Management team for Rogersville.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree is highly desired.
- Consideration will be given to those who meet all requirements other than the degree requirement and have demonstrated experience in customer service activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point and Outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Independent analysis/decision-making capabilities.
- Verifiable history of customer focus.
- Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a factory environment (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, some areas may require hearing protection, and hard hat).
- Must be able to work in a team environment with all branches of the plant.
- Must be able to make changes to plan / schedule to meet customer demands / deadlines.
- Must be able to move about the facility, including stairs.
- Must be able to either sit or stand in the performance of job duties, often for prolonged periods of time each day.
- Must be able to occasionally bend, squat, kneel and reach.
- Some lifting on occasion.
