What is a full server?

Full Servers, often referred to as full-service servers, are restaurant staff responsible for providing comprehensive table service to guests. They take orders, serve food and beverages, answer menu questions, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience. Full Servers play a key role in creating a positive atmosphere and often handle customer payments as well. Their duties may also include setting tables, refilling drinks, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full server, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Server, you need strong customer service skills, knowledge of food and beverage menus, and often a food handler's permit or equivalent certification.
