Job Details
The City of Plano's Building Inspections Department is looking for a building inspector to be a part of our Building Inspections Team! A State of Texas Plumbing Inspectors license is preferred, but not required. This is an opportunity to be part of an International Code Council (ICC) accredited Building Inspection department that is focused on providing outstanding service to the citizens of Plano.
Plano is the home to many large corporations such as Toyota, Liberty Mutual, Frito Lay, Pizza Hut, Capital One, USAA, Ericsson, FedEx, and many more! Join our team for an exciting opportunity to learn and develop skills in the field of Building Inspection and work on all types of development projects.
Additional Information
Inspectors work from 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, which helps to avoid long commute times! Inspectors are required to be on a rotating on-call list which includes nights, weekends, and holidays. This occurs every five (5) weeks on a rotation, but the need is for specific emergency issues only, which are less frequent.
