Freelance Splunk Consultant Jobs (NOW HIRING)

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering Consultant to lead the adoption of AI-enabled operational practices across enterprise infrastructure environments. This role focuses on leveraging Generative AI and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to improve infrastructure reliability, accelerate remediation cycles, optimize troubleshooting, and modernize cloud operations. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on AWS, Terraform, and Infrastructure Operations expertise along with practical experience integrating AI into engineering workflows.

• Pay range:$60 /hr on w2 to $66/hr on w2

Responsibilities:

• Design and pilot AI-assisted approaches to accelerate vulnerability remediation and patching cycles
• Implement automated impact analysis and AI-assisted change validation processes
• Drive AI-powered infrastructure troubleshooting and root cause analysis using logs, metrics, and event correlation
• Reduce Mean Time to Diagnose (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) for infrastructure incidents
• Advance Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform/OpenTofu and AI-assisted automation
• Implement AI-assisted code authoring, refactoring, and pull request review processes
• Build automated AI-enhanced testing frameworks for infrastructure changes, including:
  • Pre-deployment validation
  • Policy and security regression testing
  • Environment drift detection
  • Change risk scoring for approval acceleration
• Integrate AI solutions into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Bitbucket Pipelines
• Enhance observability and operational workflows through platforms like Splunk
• Create reusable playbooks, operational standards, and AI adoption frameworks
• Train and enable engineering teams on safe and effective AI-assisted workflows
• Ensure successful knowledge transfer and internal ownership at project completion

Required Qualifications:

• Deep hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure Operations within enterprise-scale environments
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform/OpenTofu
• Practical experience applying Generative AI to operational or engineering workflows
• Experience working with AI platforms and tools such as:
  • AWS Bedrock / Agentcore
  • AWS DevOps Agent / Kiro
  • Claude Code
  • GitHub Copilot
• Experience integrating AI into:
  • CI/CD pipelines (preferably Bitbucket Pipelines)
  • Observability platforms (preferably Splunk)
  • Incident management and remediation workflows
• Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience
• Experience with containerized infrastructure and modern cloud-native environments
• Strong understanding of security-first operational design principles
• Excellent collaboration, documentation, and knowledge transfer skills
