Whiteboard Marketing, a national dental marketing agency based in Dublin, Ohio, is seeking a talented and motivated WordPress Website Designer to join our dynamic flex team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites for our dental clients.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing custom WordPress themes and templates, along with updating and maintaining existing sites. Familiarization with a wide variety of page builders, Figma, and graphic design is preferred.


This position requires a combination of programming skills namely PHP, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript; aesthetics, like understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices; and new feature development.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom WordPress themes and templates that align with the client's brand and marketing goals
Collaborate with our digital marketing team to understand client requirements and design projects that meet their needs
Ensure that all websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and mobile-responsive
Update and maintain existing WordPress websites, including fixing bugs and implementing new features as requested by clients- perform routine administration
Work closely with the development team to ensure that designs are properly integrated with the back-end code


Requirements:
A minimum of 2-year Associate's degree in web design, graphic design, or related field
5+ years of experience designing websites with WordPress
Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with responsive and adaptive design
A strong understanding of industry trends and best practices for designing WordPress websites
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Key Competencies:
Strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate designs into visually appealing and user-friendly websites
Proficient in the use of WordPress, including custom theme and template design
Experience with Figma or similar design tools is preferred
Ability to work with debugging tools, such as Firebug or Chrome inspector
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git or SVN
Ability to understand the impact of CSS changes on website style and consistency across platforms and browsers
Experience with the WordPress block editor and the ability to create custom blocks and patterns
Create custom PHP-based functionality for additional user personalization and notifications, as needed by the clients
Work on custom data integrations through APIs and create a user-friendly presentation
Attention to detail and being able to follow quality standards
A desire to learn new technologies and stay up-to-date with industry trends
