Job description

About this role
We're hiring our second marketing person to work directly alongside the Head of Marketing. You'll have a hand in everything: paid ads, content, social, newsletter, events, video, and reporting.
This is a senior, hands-on role. You'll own projects end to end and run with them. We set the strategy and the priorities together with you, but the day-to-day judgment, the execution, and the hundred decisions it takes to ship good work are yours. We're looking for someone who has done this before and doesn't need to be told how.
To be clear about what this is and isn't: this is not a management role, and it's not a pure-strategy role. We don't need someone to direct other people's work. We need someone who can think at a high level and then go and build the thing themselves. The best person for this is a senior operator who still loves doing the work.
We're also testing new lead gen ideas this year and want this person to bring their own and own the execution of them. If you have a track record of trying things, learning fast, and bringing back what works, that matters here.
This role is a stepping stone. If you want to be a Head of Marketing in the next couple of years, this is the seat that gets you there. You'll touch every channel, ship work that reaches real buyers, and grow with a company scaling fast.
What you'll own
  • Owning LinkedIn organic content end to end, working from a content direction we set together
  • Writing long-form content that's actually written for compliance buyers, not for search volume (this is a real shift from how the industry usually writes)
  • Running our paid media day to day across Google, LinkedIn, and emerging channels, comfortable operating the ad platforms yourself rather than relying on others
  • Owning newsletter production end to end in Beehiiv, from copy to send
  • Working with our design agency, video agency, and freelancers on briefs and reviews
  • Bringing and executing new lead gen ideas
  • Keeping our marketing reporting clean and current
Who you are
  • 4 to 8 years in marketing roles, ideally including time at an early-stage or high-growth B2B SaaS company. You've operated with real ownership before.
  • A genuine operator. You can take an idea and ship it yourself, not just brief someone else to do it. You're senior in judgment but still hands-on by choice.
  • Strong on ad platforms. You've run real campaigns in Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and you can read, adjust, and improve them yourself. This is one of the most valuable things you can bring.
  • A confident writer. You can take a rough direction and produce a clean LinkedIn post or a long-form article without heavy editing. Writing samples will matter.
  • Genuinely high AI proficiency. Not "I use ChatGPT sometimes." We mean: you build and use Claude or ChatGPT projects, you've experimented with Claude Code or other agentic tools, you have opinions about which models are best for which tasks, and you actively look for ways to do work faster with AI. If AI isn't already woven into your daily workflow, this isn't your role.
  • Scrappy and resourceful. You figure things out. One day you'll be writing a LinkedIn post, the next you might be asked to produce a 60-second product video. You don't need to be expert at everything, but you do need to chase down a problem and ship a solution without a playbook handed to you.
  • Curious about compliance and fintech. You don't need a background here, but you should want to understand how the world works under the hood.
Nice to have
  • Analytics or data chops
  • SEO and GEO (AI search optimization) experience
  • Design sense. Not Figma-deep, but enough taste to brief a designer well and spot when something's off
  • Experience writing for technical buyers (compliance, legal, finance, security)
How we work
  • In-office, full-time, at our San Jose office. We're deliberately building a co-located team. We've found that senior, AI-fluent people compound faster in person, and we'd rather invest in a small team in one room than a distributed one.
  • We operate from Notion, Asana, Slack, Claude, and Figma
  • Small team, no politics, decisions move fast
  • Direct feedback culture. You'll get it and you should give it
  • We measure marketing outputs honestly. We kill things that aren't working and double down on what is.
Hiring process
  1. First round: conversation with the Head of Marketing (30 min)
  2. Second round: take-home assignment
  3. Third round: final conversation with our Co-Founder & CEO (30 min)
