Director of Immersive Experiences & Venue Operations – Contract Position

Join South Florida PBS as a dynamic leader responsible for day-to-day operations of the Boynton Beach immersive venue and the Bailey Cultural & Arts Center. The role ensures operational excellence while delivering exceptional visitor experiences.

  • Coordinate execution of immersive exhibitions, cultural programming, and special events.
  • Manage ticketing and box office operations.
  • Implement operational standards to enhance guest experience.
  • Supervise front‑of‑house staff, docents, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate venue scheduling and facility operations.
  • Support delivery of exhibitions, performances, screenings, educational workshops, and community events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years progressive leadership managing venue, museum, cultural facility, or public-facing operations.
  • Experience managing ticketing or box‑office operations, supervising front‑of‑house staff and volunteers, overseeing budgets, and coordinating exhibitions and performances.
  • Experience with educational programming or community partnerships, immersive media, audiovisual technology, or translating digital content into physical experiences preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Event Staff for VR Immersive Experience – Part Time Freelance (Summer Season)

Support entry, guest services, VR equipment, and brand ambassador duties during the summer VR experience season.

  • Handle guest check‑in, ticket scanning, and entry flow.
  • Assist guests with VR headset fitting, operation, and onboarding.
  • Sanitize and reset VR stations between uses.
  • Represent South Florida PBS with a professional demeanor.
  • Assist with directions, questions, and overall comfort.
  • Monitor guest safety, enforce venue policies, and respond to incidents.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Lead the financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, audits, compliance, investments, and risk management for South Florida PBS.

  • Develop annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Oversee financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Maintain banking and investment relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with budgeting, treasury, audits, compliance, investments, and board liaison.
  • Experience with for‑profit ventures or start‑ups and location‑based experiences highly desirable.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus.

Design and execute strategies to secure major and transformational gifts of $25,000 or more annually.

  • Manage portfolio of 125–150 major donors and prospects.
  • Develop personalized engagement strategies for donors.
  • Support departmental fundraising goals through research, proposals, stewardship, and events.
  • Lead and mentor development professionals, collaborate with volunteers, and cross‑organize partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years major gifts fundraising experience.
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with donor database systems such as Raiser’s Edge/RENXT preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
  • Initiative, flexibility, problem‑solving, and a sense of humor.

Hybrid location: SFPBS Studios in Boynton Beach with satellite office in Coral Gables.

Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR department ensuring smooth HR processes.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and benefits information.
  • Assist recruitment: post job openings, schedule interviews, and coordinate onboarding.
  • Coordinate staff meetings, catering, team‑building activities, and employee events.
  • Generate HR reports on headcount, turnover, and metrics.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data privacy compliance.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • At least two years administrative or HR‑related experience.
  • Strong organizational, time management, verbal and written skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and adapt to changing priorities.
