Job description
We are looking for a skilled CNC Router Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating CNC router equipment and a solid understanding of blueprint reading and mathematics. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Woodworking experience is a plus but not required. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position, working Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm-1:00am. This position may require additional hours (overtime) to meet demand as needed.
Essential Job Duties:
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC router machines to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints.
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine proper machine setup and production methods.
- Perform measurements and calculations, including fraction/decimal conversions, geometry, and basic trigonometry, to ensure accuracy in part production.
- Load materials onto the CNC router, secure workpieces, and monitor machine operation to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Make adjustments to machine controls and tool paths as needed to maintain part specifications.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors about production progress and any issues encountered during operation.
- Other duties as assigned or as appropriate.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in mathematics, including fraction/decimal conversions, geometry, and basic trigonometry.
- Basic computer knowledge for machine programming and data entry.
- Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy in work assignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Prior experience operating CNC router equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
