Job description
Mechanical Engineering Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for mechanical engineering specialists to help train and evaluate advanced AI models on complex technical content. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through real‐world engineering problems — from fluid dynamics to finite element analysis. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of engineering and artificial intelligence, contributing to the development of the next generation of technical AI systems.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Advanced Engineering Problems — Craft challenging, multi‐step problems across domains including FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science to rigorously test AI reasoning. Author Ground‐Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step‐by‐step technical solutions and benchmark responses that AI models use as the gold standard for learning. Audit AI Technical Output — Review and evaluate AI‐generated content covering CAD logic, thermodynamic proofs, structural calculations, and material specifications for accuracy, safety, and compliance with standards such as ASME and ISO.
Refine AI Reasoning — Identify and document logical errors in AI outputs — such as incorrect force distributions, energy conservation violations, or flawed material assumptions — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance. Who You Are Holds or is pursuing a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes Able to communicate complex physical phenomena and technical derivations clearly in written form Highly detail‐oriented — precise and systematic when reviewing mathematical derivations, unit conversions, and physical constraints No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems Proficiency with engineering software such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.) and their application in design and analysis Why Join Us Work on cutting‐edge AI projects in collaboration with world‐leading AI research labs Fully remote and flexible — set your own schedule and work from anywhere Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually stimulating work Contribute to AI systems that will impact how engineering knowledge is applied globally Potential for ongoing work and contract extension #J-18808-Ljbffr
