About the Role
The Cybersecurity Analyst supports the continued development, management, and optimization
of Sunwest Bank’s Information Security Program, with a primary focus on cybersecurity controls,
systems, and threat mitigation. Working closely with the VP, Information Security Officer, this
role provides hands‑on technical expertise to protect the Bank’s systems, applications, and data.
The position requires a proactive, growth‑oriented security professional who stays current with
evolving cyber threats and collaborates across the organization to ensure a strong security
posture.

What You’ll Do
• Provide technical cybersecurity expertise in support of the Bank’s Information Security
Program initiatives and objectives.
• Perform ethical hacking and vulnerability testing of internally hosted systems and
applications, including Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
• Ensure security systems, software configurations, policies, and system‑hardening
standards are operating effectively.
• Recommend enhancements and improvements to existing security controls.
• Monitor technical IT and Information Security controls and assist with control reviews and
assessments.
• Monitor internal and external cyber threats, vulnerability findings, and security alerts.
• Investigate cybersecurity incidents and participate in response and remediation activities.
• Troubleshoot escalated Help Desk tickets or user issues related to cybersecurity.
• Provide cybersecurity oversight for technical projects, ensuring policies, procedures, and
standards are followed.
• Develop and prepare periodic cybersecurity reporting for the VP, Information Security
Officer.
• Collaborate regularly with business stakeholders, IT staff, and internal and external audit
teams.
What We’re Looking For
(Required)
• 3+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, Information Security Engineer, System
Administrator, or similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with cybersecurity tools and platforms, including: -Mimecast ESG -BlackBerry Protect/Optics EDR -Netwrix Auditor
ManageEngine AD360 -Darktrace NDR -Forcepoint SWG -JupiterOne -Kibana
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related
field.
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) certification required.
• Strong technical expertise across Windows, Mac, Linux, networks, and endpoint security.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the
organization.

• Experience with security frameworks and best practices (NIST, ISO, OWASP).
• Experience implementing and managing information‑security systems and tools.
• Experience with IDS/IPS monitoring, incident response processes, and vulnerability
management.
