Electronics Technician

Location: Clearwater, FL
Pay: $22.00–$35.00/hour + Overtime Available
Job Type: Contract
 

Position Overview

USPRO is seeking an Electronics Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs), RF circuits, and electronic subassemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on role is ideal for technicians with strong troubleshooting skills who enjoy working with advanced electronic systems and precision test equipment.

Military technical experience may be considered in lieu of certain traditional qualifications where applicable.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up test equipment and perform functional testing of electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs), RF circuits, and electronic subassemblies.

  • Troubleshoot analog and digital electronic circuits to the component level using schematics and technical documentation.

  • Diagnose and repair electronic assemblies by adjusting, replacing, or repairing components as needed.

  • Calibrate electronic assemblies and test systems to ensure compliance with engineering and manufacturing specifications.

  • Operate electronic test equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, frequency standards, signal generators, and related diagnostic tools.

  • Analyze test results, identify product defects, and document findings accurately.

  • Assist engineering teams with test procedure development, product evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support production schedules by maintaining quality standards and efficient workflow.

  • Follow established quality procedures and manufacturing documentation while maintaining a safe work environment.
     

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or an associate degree in Electronics Technology or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience testing electronic assemblies.

  • Experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuits to the component level.

  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and computerized data collection or maintenance tracking systems.

  • Experience using flying probe or high-power electronic test equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
     

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with RF circuits or RF testing.

  • Familiarity with radar systems or other advanced electronic systems.

  • Experience performing vibration and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) testing on circuit card assemblies and electronic subassemblies.

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
