Job description

Large Hospital in the North Texas area is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
Must hold RT(R) or RCIS, ARRT-R or an imaging credential!
Willing to cross train an IR tech.
Shift Info:
Full time Day shift
4/10 hour shifts a week,7a-5:30p
Your day off will not be the same day each week
On-Call: STEMI call required, approximately 8-9 days of call per month including one weekend. Holiday call required, rotates on an annual basis, at least one major (Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's) and one minor (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day).
Job Details:
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, helps Physicians during catheterization / electrophysiology lab procedures.
Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient's condition and provides routine and emergency patient care during procedures.
Contributes to the orientation and training of other team members.
Help in daily, monthly, and/or quarterly quality control initiative through auditing and reporting.
Cases: Coronary- Cardiac catheterization, PCI, Impella/IABP, PFO, Vascular- Peripheral angiogram and intervention, thrombectomy, fistulagram, EVAR, Limflow revascularization, EP- Ablation (afib, flutter, SVT, VOM), device placement (pacemaker, defibrillator, CCM, loop recorder), LAAO

Certifications/Licensure:
  • 2 years Cath, EP, or Vascular experience preferred. Willing to cross-train IR tech.
  • Have earned a minimum of an associate degree AND must Hold an RT (R) or RCIS (Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), or ARRT-R Radiography or an imaging credential.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • ACLS (ACLS) required
  • ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R), Cert Cardiac Device Spec (CCDS), Cert EP Specialist (CEPS), Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT), Reg Cardio Electrophysiology (RCES), Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Sp (RCIS)
Must meet one of the following:
    • American Registry of Radiologic Tech(ARRT-R) and MRT thru TX Medical Board
    • Cardio Invasive Spec(RCIS)
    • Reg Cardiac Electro Spec(RCES)
    • Cert Electro Spec(CEPS)
    • Cert Cardiac Device Spec (CCDS)
