Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Department: Processing Operations
Location: Lewiston, UT.
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $21
Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for efficiently pulling products for customer orders, loading and unloading refrigerated trailers with eggs using pallet jacks and forklifts. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, contributing to the overall success of our shipping and receiving operations.
Essential Job Functions
  • Pull and palletize orders with the correct quantity and SKU, wrap with plastic, and prepare for loading on delivery trailers.
  • Utilize standup forklifts and ride-on pallet jacks to load and unload semi-trailers and move freight around the warehouse.
  • Load all outgoing containers and trailers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Actively participate in and promote a safety culture by following safe work practices and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Report incidents, accidents and any unsafe conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Learn product SKUs and become proficient with load/pick sheets and picking software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass a forklift driving test.
  • Ability to read, understand, and speak simple sentences and follow directions and instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with two-digit numbers, and working with money, weight, volume, and distance
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and/or holiday hours as required based on the production demand
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
  • Forklift and pallet jack certifications preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires working in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to cold environments. The position involves standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, squatting, and climbing.
