Research Assistant for Professor Samir Nurmohamed - Academic Year 2025-2026

Flipside Collective, a research lab focused on creating innovative, rigorous research while developing students into independent thinkers who are interested in graduate studies, is seeking a Research Assistant. Our research is focused on how individuals overcome barriers and obstacles at work. My hope is that you'll develop new skills, sharpen your thinking, and deepen your understanding of how research is done. As a group, we strive to do the following:

  • We focus on execution, not bureaucracy.
  • We operate like a high-functioning research startup.
  • We train students to be collaborators, not just assistants.

Job Description

I am seeking a highly motivated research assistant. The role is well-suited for students with a background or interest in organizational or social psychology. You will engage in research activities, including literature reviews, survey creation, data coding, data analysis, and teaching assistance (exercise creation). This position requires strong attention to detail and working independently and collaboratively. Applicants should have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Qualtrics and other statistical software is a plus. This role provides a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in doing organizational behavior research, as well as teaching assistance and departmental support.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
