Job description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs activities related to the set-up and operating the Finishing Machines following written procedures and instructions.
Maintain material quality throughout the slitting operation assuring print position, roll conformation and implementation of the hold procedure when necessary.
Identify and remove defective material utilizing flagging and inspection procedures.
Follow shop packet instructions and complete line verification forms.
Read and follow written procedures and instructions as required.
Label, sleeve and box finished goods.
Maintain an organized, clean and safe working environment.
Responsible for making time and quantity entries into the shop floor computer system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
Web Handling fundamentals.
Beginner level computer skills.
English language verbal and written communication skills.
High school math skills,
Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities.
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with team members.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands for handling tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift and move objects over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
