Position Description:

Alcon is seeking an intern to support on site health, safety, and environmental programs at the Fort Worth, TX location. This position provides hands-on experience in occupational health and safety, environmental compliance, incident prevention, risk management, and site HSE initiatives. The intern will assist with data collection and analysis, inspections, training, employee engagement activities, and continuous improvement projects.

Alcon interns will have the opportunity to not only gain industry experience and network with other Alcon professionals. They will also have the chance to make a real-world impact by working on meaningful projects that will help patients and customers see brilliantly. Alcon also offer interns personal and professional development, high visibility and coaching and mentoring opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data sets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement within HSE
  • Support HSE and project management activities including planning, tracking, and reporting progress
  • Partner with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate data into actionable insights
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving approaches
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, or presentations to communicate findings clearly
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver results within timelines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
  • Must be pursuing at least a Bachelor'sdegree inOccupational Safety and Health or related field.
  • Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)
  • Ability to commit to work full time (40 hours per week) for the entirety of the fall semester
