Job description
The Department of Russian and East Asian Languages and Cultures (REALC) at Emory University in Atlanta, GA invites applications from associate and full professors with tenure for a position in Korean Studies, funded by a grant from Korea Foundation, to begin Fall 2026. REALC is a dynamic multidisciplinary community of scholars of Korea, China, Japan, and Russia. Research field and period are open for this position, but priority will be given to interdisciplinary specialists working at the intersections of the humanities and social sciences, or on Korea through a comparative or transnational lens.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research profile. They will teach four courses per year of appointment. Salary is competitive. We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong record of program development and a commitment to participation in the academic life of the department and university.
