Job description
- Develop and execute the enterprise-wide HSE strategy aligned with corporate goals and risk tolerance
- Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistent HSE standards across all facilities
- Advise executive leadership on HSE risks, trends, and strategic priorities
- Lead organization-wide HSE transformation initiatives, including cultural and behavioral safety programs
- Define and track KPIs, including leading and lagging indicators, and provide visibility through performance dashboards
- Own, develop, implement, and continuously improve the HSE IMS aligned with:
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
- Ensure standardization of HSE policies, procedures, and controls across all facilities
- Drive integration of systems across business units to eliminate silos and improve efficiency
- Lead internal and external audits, certification processes, and management reviews
- Ensure effective document control, compliance tracking, and system performance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
- Establish and maintain enterprise risk management processes, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies
- Oversee incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update policies and procedures
- Provide functional oversight and guidance to HSE teams across all locations
- Standardize HSE practices, reporting, and procedures across facilities
- Conduct site visits, audits, and leadership engagement activities
- Ensure consistent contractor safety management and operational controls
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HSE professionals across multiple locations

- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 7+ years of HSE experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred
- Proven experience leading multi-site HSE programs and driving cultural change
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field
CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001) or willingness to obtain
- OSHA 40-hour certification
- RCRA training preferred
