Job description

SUMMARY Provide administrative and secretarial support primarily for assigned managers at The Autism Project (TAP). Provide secretarial support for other directors and managers as assigned. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Brown University Health employees are expected to successfully role model the organization's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence as these guide our everyday actions with patients, customers, and one another.

Serve as front desk receptionist, greeting all clients and visitors in a professional, compassionate manner Provide primary administrative and secretarial support to assigned managers and support additional directors and managers as needed Serve as a central administrative resource with knowledge of internal departments, affiliates, and external organizations Schedule appointments and place reminder calls for multiple providers Maintain front desk schedules and complete daily preparation activities Register new clients by gathering required documentation and electronically opening cases at admission Collect and update required client information (demographics, income verification, voter registration, current care registration, etc.) Verify insurance benefits with Medicaid and third-party payers and enter information into the electronic system (CMHC) and FAMCare Monitor and maintain accurate electronic client records, including current care numbers Manage data input and payment tracking for all member applications (Groups, Unity, Camp) Collect co-pays, record payment information, and enter electronic cash receipts Support reimbursement and billing accuracy through accurate data entry and documentation Process reports related to specific client and operational data Submit all Work Orders and IT requisitions for the building Respond to routine and nonroutine inquiries regarding programs independently, following established policies and procedures Manage purchasing, organization, and inventory of office and program supplies; prepare requisitions for approval Sort, open, prioritize, and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare correspondence and obtain supporting documentation as needed Act as liaison for conference room scheduling and managing room reservations Post and maintain required information, posters, and licenses on the Brown University Health intranet in coordination with Compliance Utilize PC systems, WorkDay, EPIC, FAMCare, and Microsoft Office applications accurately and efficiently Demonstrate Brown University Health values-Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence-in all interactions Model core Success Factors by instilling trust, valuing differences, maintaining patient and community focus, and collaborating effectively Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned Collaborate with team members to support patients, providers, and community needs Demonstrates ability to utilize PC, Peoplesoft, and Microsoft Office software accurately and efficiently Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION Associate degree or 2-3 years of relevant experience Bilingual preferred SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY None SCHEDULE Monday & Tuesday 10:30am-7:00pm & Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Pay Range $18.13-$29.90 Location GHI-Johnston-1516 Atwood Avenue - 1516 Atwood Ave. Johnston, Rhode Island 02919 Work Type Monday & Tuesday 10:30am-7:00pm & Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Work Shift Day Daily Hours 8 hours Driving Required No Brown University Health is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and maintaining a work environment free from all forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
