Pay: 55-69/hr depending on experience level


Position Summary

The Healthcare Copywriter is responsible for developing clear, compelling, and compliant copy for digital and media-first promotional content within a regulated healthcare environment. This role translates brand strategy, clinical data, and approved claims into engaging messaging across multiple channels including digital ads, banners, social media, video scripts, email campaigns, articles, and media partner platforms for both healthcare professional (HCP) and consumer audiences.

The role requires strong attention to detail, familiarity with regulated content development, and the ability to incorporate medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) feedback efficiently while maintaining creativity and compliance. This position also involves working with GenAI tools to support content development and bias correction while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.


Key ResponsibilitiesHealthcare Content Development
  • Develop clear, accurate, and engaging healthcare copy for digital and media-first promotional content

  • Translate clinical data, brand strategy, and approved claims into audience-appropriate messaging

  • Write across multiple formats including banners, display ads, social media, email campaigns, articles, and video scripts

  • Tailor messaging for both healthcare professional (HCP) and consumer audiences


Regulatory & Compliance (MLR Process)
  • Work within Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) review workflows to ensure content compliance

  • Incorporate regulatory feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining content integrity

  • Ensure alignment with approved claims, ISI (Important Safety Information), and regulatory guidelines

  • Support iterative content refinement based on compliance and stakeholder input


Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with designers, marketing teams, and content quality reviewers to align copy with visual execution

  • Collaborate with brand, medical, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure scientific accuracy

  • Participate in structured review cycles and ensure timely updates and approvals


AI-Assisted Content Development
  • Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate content creation and optimization

  • Support bias correction and refinement of AI-generated content outputs

  • Ensure all AI-assisted content meets regulatory and clinical accuracy standards


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare copywriting, medical writing, pharmaceutical marketing, or regulated content development

  • Experience working within Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) review processes

  • Strong understanding of regulated promotional content and compliance requirements

  • Ability to translate clinical or scientific information into clear, engaging messaging

  • Experience in digital content creation (social media, banners, email, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage feedback cycles efficiently

  • Excellent written communication skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare advertising environments

  • Familiarity with ISI (Important Safety Information) and promotional compliance standards

  • Experience with AI or GenAI-assisted content tools

  • Background in digital marketing, content strategy, or brand communications

Pay Details: $55.00 to $69.00 per hour
