Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, for a Scenic Draftsman. In this role, you’ll develop mechanical concept designs and drawings, collaborate on set and stage designs, create CNC and 3D print files. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our fabrication shop to oversee the creation and construction of set pieces, making sure everything is event-ready. This is a hands-on role in the scenic workshop with plenty of collaboration across departments to deliver high-quality, show-stopping scenic designs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Vectorworks with Autocad, Adobe Suite, Google Docs and Microsoft Suite knowledge.
  • Knowledge of construction design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX
  • Ability to travel to show site
  • Relevant experience in scenic design for events or theater
  • This could be an entry level position, however experience is always welcome
