Job description

Do you have an eye for fine detail and typography? Do you enjoy repetitive tasks? Are you a professional looking for a change of pace? Then this job may be for you! This is a hands-on production role. You’ll spend most of your shift operating a hot stamp machine, working through orders with precision and consistency. It’s repetitive by nature, and the ideal candidate finds satisfaction in doing that kind of work really well.

**NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, TRAINING PROVIDED.**

Debossing (we call it embossing) is when an image (logo, text, etc.) is imprinted into a material, which can be filled by a foil. We use a Kwikprint hot stamping machine to heat a brass typeset or metal die, then use them to stamp on leather, faux leather, cardstock and more. The embosser’s job requires an understanding of how different foils, temperatures, and stamping pressures interact with different materials so as to produce a crisp stamp. Please visit our website jennibick.com and look under the “Custom” tab for a better idea of our work.

Day to Day

  • Fulfill in-store, online, and bulk orders (ranging from 10-500+ books) accurately and on-time

  • Assist customers with embossing selections

  • Coordinate with team members to meet deadlines.

  • Adapt to a fast-paced work environment.

  • Troubleshooting stamps that aren’t coming out correctly on different materials.

Ideal Candidate

  • Precise and consistent.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Interest in stationery, leathergoods, or learning a craft.

  • Works well in a team.

  • Able to stand for extended periods while doing a repetitive task.

  • Comfortable using a ruler and doing simple math.
