Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will assist in the design, engineering, testing, and production of low-voltage and medium-voltage switchboards and switchgear. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in electrical power distribution systems, panel design, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of low-voltage and medium-voltage switchboards and switchgear.
- Prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Support the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
- Assist with equipment selection, including circuit breakers, busbars, protection devices, metering, and control components.
- Coordinate with the mechanical engineering team to ensure electrical designs are integrated into panel layouts.
- Support the production team by resolving electrical design and assembly queries.
- Assist in reviewing customer specifications and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure engineering documentation is maintained accurately and revisions are properly controlled.
- Follow company engineering standards, quality procedures, and project schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 0-2 years of experience in electrical design, manufacturing, or power systems (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Basic understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
- Familiarity with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other electrical drafting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to switchboards, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), or industrial control panels through coursework, internships, or work experience.
