Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an entry level GIS Specialist who will assist with data management needs.

Responsibilities

Updating existing enterprise and file geodatabases based on external data sources such as CADD plans, inspection forms, and/or excel.
Georeferencing as built drawings.
Creating ArcGIS online web applications.
Updating data based on standardized operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors of Art/Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science or Geography with focus in Geographic Information Systems.
1-2 year of experience. Internship experience will be considered.
ArcPro 3.0 over newer ArcGIS Online Platform Microsoft Suite required. 
Proficiency in ArcGIS software including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online Platform, and GPS field data collection.
Basic understanding of scripting skills using Python, VB script or other GIS compatible programming language.
Experience in ESRIs best management practices of creating and maintaining Meta Data and data storage.
Experience in ArcGIS Pro Advanced Editing Tools.
Knowledgeable of basic geoprocessing tools and projecting coordinates systems.
Must be self-motivated, comfortable working with peers, clients, and independently.
Solid communication (written and verbal) skills are required, including the ability to maintain an appropriate level of communication with supervisor and project/program managers.
