We are continuously seeking qualified Construction Assistants / Operators with a CDL; whether you are entry-level, mid, or senior for upcoming and future projects! This is an evergreen requisition, meaning we are building a pipeline of skilled candidates as new opportunities arise. This position requires extensive travel, with assignments lasting multiple weeks at a time. Daily per diem and hotel accommodations are provided during travel.

About the Role:
You will support construction projects through hands-on work in the field, equipment operation, and commercial driving. This position plays a critical role in the successful completion of corrosion control projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with acceptable driving record.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy materials.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to travel for multiple weeks at a time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a construction assistant, equipment operator, or laborer.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in a construction or similar environment.
- OSHA 10 certification or higher.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Experience operating equipment (backhoe, trencher, mini-excavator, auger, and forklift).
- Experience in the corrosion control industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial vehicles safely.
- Assist construction crews with loading and unloading materials, setting up equipment, and performing general labor tasks.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to vehicles operation and construction activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate deliveries, schedules, and on-site support tasks.
- Prepare construction site and clean up when job is completed.
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, tampers, and rakes.
Other Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, such as trenches, pits, and manholes
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps and ladders regularly
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, or drive for long periods of time (1-3 hours).
- Must be able to see, hear, and respond quickly to dangerous situations
- Must be comfortable working outdoors, including in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable around moving machinery, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
- Must be comfortable wearing personal protective gear while working (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, safety vest, FRCs).
- Ability to adhere to OSHA and site-specific PPE and safety requirements.

Compensation Range: $25.00 - $36.75 per hour

Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and business needs.
