ABOUT THE ROLE

Innocap'sInvestment Team is looking for a Portfolio MonitoringAssociatewho is enthusiastic about using data to tell stories and solve problems.The Investment Solutions team delivers actionable insights and advanced portfolio analytics to support client investment decision-making and portfolio oversight. The Associate's primary responsibilities include:

Enhance the clientselection, allocation, and monitoring process:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the manager's investment strategies byassistingin investment due diligence on new funds and co-investment opportunities.

  • Develop true insights onportfoliorisk and return profiles, understand hedge fund manager investment rationales, and deliver actionable analysis to external clients.

  • Partner effectively with the Portfolio AnalyticsandInsightsteamto drive analytical solutions and market research forward.

Develop strong client engagement:

  • Use data to tell a compelling story and create impactful visual displays of quantitative and qualitative information.

  • Collaborate with lead client coverage toidentifynew absolute return investment opportunities.

Build robust monitoring processes:

  • Monitor the absolute return portfolio daily to ensure alignment between the investment strategy and expectations.

  • Prepare quarterly portfolio reviews for committee presentations.

  • Graduallyworktoward independently delivering presentations to stakeholders.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Higher education in a relevant field orequivalentcombination of education and experience.

  • CFA designation is consideredan asset.

  • Desired seniority: entry-level.

  • Experience in reporting roles within investment management, pension funds, or financial services industries.

  • Experience in managing and reviewing periodic deliverables for management reporting.

  • Knowledge of absolute return strategies and the investment industry, such as performance measurement and key risk metrics.

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, curious, and resourceful with a proven ability to answer challenging questions and delivertimely,accurateinsights.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (French and English), with the ability to conceptualize and articulate information to internal and external stakeholders.
