JOB SUMMARY:  The Senior Analyst works closely with the AVP's and VP's of the Healthcare Finance Division to grow the Healthcare Finance business. The Healthcare Finance business provides asset-based, real estate, HUD, and construction lending to providers of healthcare throughout the United States. The majority of loans within the portfolio are directly originated by the Healthcare Finance team but the Bank will opportunistically participate in larger loans. The main function of this position is to assist the AVP's and VP's with analyzing, evaluating, documenting, and closing loan opportunities.  
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze potential direct loan origination opportunities and loan participation opportunities to providers of healthcare services and owners of healthcare real estate 

  • Model financial projections and run sensitivity analyses to assess a firm’s potential to repay its loan under various economic scenarios 

  • Perform financial due diligence on target companies 

  • With oversight, prepare loan investment approval write-ups to present to the Bank’s credit committee 

  • Coordinate investment closings with the Portfolio Management and Operations teams 

  • Work with Portfolio Management team to monitor and track the financial performance of companies in the loan portfolio, and with oversight, prepare performance update memorandums 

  • Perform other duties as assigned  

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in audit, credit analysis, investment banking, M&A transaction services, financial rotational programs, loan underwriting or HUD underwriting role required 

  • Healthcare lending experience is preferred 

  • Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including financial modeling 

  • Strong financial statement analysis skills with a firm grasp of accounting and finance matters 

  • Proficiency with Excel based modeling 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)   

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills   

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail    

  • Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills   

  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented  

  • Adaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment 

The pay range for this position is above. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience $80,000 (entry level qualifications) to $100,000 (highly experienced).
