Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
GREAT PAY!
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and attentive Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position will be responsible for the maintenance and security of our property - buildings, vehicles and grounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Perform adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Accept and verify receipt of deliveries and inventory products.
  • Maintain weekly Inventory Control.
  • Clean and restore building interiors damaged by regular use, or water, using cleaning equipment. Paint, sand or refurbish, walls, doors and floors as needed. Work with power and hand tools to maintain and refurbish buildings.
  • Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Maintain clean parking lots and post signage as necessary for safe traffic flow.
  • Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds.
  • Notify Manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals as needed.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties- to be approved by Manager.
  • Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation if/ as needed.
  • Maintain site(s) storage areas.
  • Ensure Compliance for all Internal and External Inspections including but not limited to Sprinkler Systems, Septic, HVAC Systems, Alarm and all other Inspections required annually, bi-annually or quarterly.
  • Perform a variety of janitorial tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting. Collect and dispose of waste. Steam-clean or shampoo carpets if/ as needed. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment in emergency situations
  • Must be able to use a variety of tools, for repairs and grounds keeping.
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing. Position requires frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required as is a personal vehicle that has a current inspection sticker (if applicable) and registration.

Hours: This is a full time 40-hour job. Hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm
Salary: We are offering a very competitive wage of $24.50 an hour and this position is eligible for bonus compensation.
