Job description

Performs primary team member duties and serves as the in-store trainer for all team members in three areas of expertise: Perishables, Non-Perishables, and Customer Service. Guides team members successfully through store training programs. Demonstrates and trains team members in three specific areas: on-boarding, zone specific training and cross-training, and zone huddles. Serves as a role model who displays a positive and professional image, provides legendary customer service, and supports the standards and goals of the 365 Learning & Development Team.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all essential duties as described in the team member job description.
  • Successfully facilitate and track new member onboarding in partnership with Team Leaders.
  • Successfully facilitate and track zone playlist and zone cross-training completion.
  • Successfully assist Floor Lead in facilitating and tracking zone huddle meetings.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly Zone Coach calls and additional meetings as needed.
  • Provide timely feedback to store leadership on new members to assist with team member Soundcheck.
  • Act as a role model for all zone standard operating procedures including (but not limited to) safety, customer service and merchandising.
  • Train zone team members on product knowledge, differentiation, sales initiatives, productivity, and zone specifics as assigned by store leadership.
  • Identify training gaps and needs within the zone and reports it to store leadership and 365 CRAVE Learning & Development. Constant communication and feedback with 365 CRAVE Learning & Development and their store leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • At least 1 year of retail experience or equivalent
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to clearly deliver key messages
  • General computer operation of software applications (MS Office Suite)
  • Data entry and attention to detail (usually within Cornerstone)
  • Comfortable and skilled in speaking with small and large groups
  • Must have a passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market 365
  • Must be self-motivated, driven, and solution-oriented
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the zone and store team members
  • Desire to learn all aspects of a Whole Foods Market 365.
  • Desire to move into store leadership.
The wage range for this position is $18.00-$25.40 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits". New entry level Team Members who successfully complete their first 90-days of employment and who remain actively employed in an eligible role, may be eligible for a base rate increase after their 90-day anniversary.
