Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Plans weekly responsibilities with the case managers or case management supervisor
• Available to work weekends with flexible scheduling hours to accommodate customer's needs.
• Comfortable with carrying on conversations with parents or agencies during transports.
• Exemplifies appropriate role modeling through physical appearance, social skills, professional
words and acts, sets clear professional boundaries.
• Represents MMA in a professional manner at all times.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and self-motivate.
• Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Additional duties as assigned by the case management supervisor.
• Adheres to Mingus policy and practice concerning creation, editing, transmission, storage, and disposition of all Protected Health Information in compliance with HIPAA.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a minimum of HS diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid AZ Drivers' License

Experience: Experience in the behavioral health field is preferred.
Other Skills: Must maintain flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card (or have a current valid level 1 fingerprint card).
  • Individual judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills.
  • Emotionally and physically able to assist in physical escort and/or restraint.
  • Must pass medical exam capable of performing the essential functions of this job as listed in this job description.
  • Must be able to help carry an ill, injured, or incapacitated student.
  • Must be physically able to assist in AWOL searches in mountainous terrain.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism are essential

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center (MMYTC) is a nonprofit residential behavioral health treatment center serving adolescents with serious emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. Located in Arizona, we provide structured, trauma-informed, and clinically sophisticated care for youth who require intensive therapeutic support. MMYTC staff routinely treat vulnerable youth who have survived abuse, neglect and exploitation in their communities, which provides a unique opportunity for staff to provide life-saving care.
