Mission
Operates and maintains a micro surfacing machine and related heavy equipment for road maintenance projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality application of materials. Supports both field operations during the construction season and shop-based maintenance activities during the off-season, in full compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate micro surfacing and related heavy equipment in accordance with safety standards and project requirements
- Apply all safety procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Prepare work activities by reviewing project plans and transporting equipment to job sites
- Set up traffic control and ensure safe access to work areas
- Adjust and operate equipment to ensure proper material application
- Perform work as directed by supervisors while maintaining quality standards
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions during the construction season
- Willingness to work seasonally in the field and in the shop during winter months (Leduc)
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Relevant certifications or authorizations to operate equipment are considered an asset
