Position & Office Overview
As an intern working with our construction materials testing lab group, you will reinforce your education through a practical, hands-on, paid work experience. Your work will be realistic, rewarding, and allow you to be in a position of responsibility. You will contribute ideas and develop knowledge and communication skills while interacting with top professionals in your field. Responsibilities
  • Working in the concrete and/or soils laboratory performing tests on construction materials
  • Interpreting test data and preparing reports/summaries of test data
  • Assisting in maintaining a clean and organized lab in compliance with QA/QC initiatives and accreditation requirements
  • Assisting with other lab functions as necessary and assisting with field work as needed

Qualifications
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related degree
  • Interest in how building materials are utilized in the construction process
  • Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
  • Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed
