Position Overview
The Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing is an entry-level role supporting the design, modification, and detailing of mechanical components and systems, including vacuum chambers and subassemblies. The role works under experienced engineers and offers hands-on exposure to fabrication and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and detail mechanical components accordance with established engineering procedures
- Modify existing designs and create detailed drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies
- Support projects by working within defined budgets and timelines
- Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) in the corporate ERP system
- Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to understand project requirements and technical needs
- Interface with the machine shop to support cost-effective manufacturing solutions
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and HR requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong experience with 3D CAD modeling
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while working in a team-based environment
- Experience using Solid Edge or other mid-range 3D modeling software
- Exposure to vacuum system design or related mechanical systems
- Hands-on engineering and mentorship with complex mechanical systems & growth opportunities in a global manufacturing organization
