Job Description:

The mandate ofthe Strategy, Enablement and Optimizationteam isto improve customer experience, colleague experience and optimize claimsand shared servicesoperationscosts through providing deep analyses and understanding of theoperationsprocesses to stakeholders.

This team is a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with actuaries, claims adjusters, data experts and data scientists. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of experienced actuariesin order toapply and develop your analytical and business acumen skills by having a direct impact on the improvement of the claim processes at TD Insurance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

CUSTOMER

  • Support the business and overall team by providing general analytical support to the Actuarial function

  • Assist in the preparation of statistical analyses or financial statements, involving premiums, losses and expenses documenting and verifying applied factors, methodologies and assumptions

  • Participate in initiatives that will improve customer and colleague experience by proposing solutions leveraging insights from data and analytics.

SHAREHOLDER

  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate

  • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area

  • Protect the interests of the organization - identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard,high riskactivities as necessary

  • Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline

  • Adhereto internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's ormaster's degree in Actuarial Sciencesor related field
