Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CDL Driver with a strong background operating roll-off trucks. This role is critical to daily operations and requires a driver who understands route efficiency, job site awareness, and DOT compliance.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a driver who can operate independently, manage time effectively, and represent the company professionally on job sites and at disposal facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Operate roll-off trucks for delivery, swap-out, and pickup of dumpsters
  • Transport and dispose of materials at landfills, transfer stations, and recycling facilities
  • Secure loads properly and ensure safe transport in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate logs and required DOT documentation
  • Navigate efficiently between job sites, yards, and disposal locations
  • Communicate with dispatch, office staff, and field crews throughout the day
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck
  • Identify and report mechanical issues promptly

Equipment Maintenance & Mechanical Awareness

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT requirements
  • Identify early signs of mechanical issues (hydraulics, hoist systems, tarping systems, brakes, tires)
  • Maintain proper fluid levels including oil, coolant, and hydraulic fluids
  • Ensure roll-off components (rails, rollers, hooks, cables) are functioning properly before operation
  • Keep truck clean and operationally ready at all times
  • Accurately report maintenance issues and coordinate with management for timely repairs
  • Understand basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime in the field
Candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of roll-off system components and basic mechanical troubleshooting during the interview process.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of CDL driving experience
  • Proven experience operating roll-off trucks
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Experience working in construction, demolition, or waste hauling environments preferred
  • Ability to operate in tight job sites and urban environments
  • Valid CDL (Class A or B depending on equipment)
