Job Description – Janitorial/Maintenance Technician
Title
Janitorial/Maintenance Technician

Summary
The Macomb Group, a recognized leading distributor in the Midwest for Pipe, Valve, and Fittings. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial/Maintenance Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and functional facility. This role is responsible for routine cleaning, basic repairs, and general upkeep of the building in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks
  • Restock supplies
  • Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs (light plumbing, painting, fixture replacement)
  • Monitor building conditions and report larger repair needs
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and tools
  • Perform weather-related maintenance (i.e. salting and shoveling snow)
  • Assist with events, seasonal maintenance, and special projects as needed
  • Follow safety procedurues and company policies
Requirements
  • Prior janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of tools and cleaning equipment
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physically able to regularly lift up to 25lbs; occasionally up to 50lbs
  • Be able to walk, stand, or lift the entire shift
Work Setting
Sterling Heights, Michigan
Monday - Friday, Full-Time
8 hour shift, start time at either 7 AM or 8 AM
