Job description

OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is looking for a Revit Autodesk Technical Lead for our Geomatics group. The position can be remote, with the understanding that some travel to the Greenwood Village office will be necessary. This position will lead a group of Revit Designers, direct and contractors, who will turn lidar building scans into BIM building models as well as conduct QA/QC on their models for a large multi-year project. The target start date for this position is June 2026. We will be conducting interviews immediately. This role would need some level of understanding across all technical disciplines. Our team primarily will focus on different design disciplines (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, etc.).


WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop and manage the process to create Revit models for facilities from terrestrial lidar and/or CAD drawings.
  • Utilize and create Merrick Revit templates to create models.
  • Manage Revit modeling subcontractors, and have dotted line management of internal staff performing QAQC and Revit modeling.
  • This position will work with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of the package, meet schedule, and budget commitments and must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Linking Recap point cloud files into Revit.
  • Link CAD files into Revit.
  • Work with Corporate Design Technology team to develop project specific Revit processes and templates.
  • Provide technical support for estimating and scoping Revit projects.
  • Execute Revit modeling a portion of the time, while also driving projects at a high level.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have experience working with both subcontractors and clients.
  • At Least Four (4) years of Revit modeling experience is required.
  • Four (4) plus years of working with Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Experience with survey, GIS, Lidar or remotely sensed data
  • Must be comfortable developing complex workflows concerning the Revit environment and using Autodesk Model Checker tools in Revit.
  • Proven ability to create Revit models of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to comply with client and Merrick’s Revit standards. Generate construction documents from Revit Models.
  • Must be experienced with Omni classes.
  • Experience in Integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) with the Internet of Things (IoT) transforms static 3D models into "living" digital twins.
  • Interdisciplinary coordination/clash detection using Revit or Navisworks.
  • Experience developing drawings in Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience building Revit models from terrestrial Lidar data.
  • Experience leading a team of remote direct and contract personnel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
