CDL A Driver / Dock Warehouse Worker – $24–$26/Hour

Eastlake, OH | Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

We are hiring an experienced CDL A Driver / Dock Warehouse Worker for a dual-role position with a well-established Eastlake company. This is a great opportunity for a CDL A driver who enjoys a combination of driving, delivery, and hands-on dock/warehouse work.

  • $24.00–$26.00/hour
  • Overtime after 40 hours
  • $120 overnight stipend for qualifying layovers

?? WHAT YOU'LL DO

This is a true dual-role position — you'll spend time both behind the wheel and on the dock.

Driving:

  • Operate a CDL A tractor-trailer safely and efficiently
  • Deliver freight to destinations including Southern Ohio, Dayton, Detroit, and Fairfield
  • Complete pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
  • Maintain required logs and transportation documentation
  • Work occasional overnight routes and layovers

Dock/Warehouse:

  • Load and unload freight from trailers
  • Handle touch freight and assist with deliveries
  • Use a pallet jack and other material-handling equipment
  • Secure and organize freight for transportation
  • Assist with general dock and warehouse operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

? SCHEDULE

  • Primarily evening/night work
  • Start times may vary, generally between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM
  • Routes and schedules vary based on delivery needs
  • Occasional overnight layovers required

? WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • 2–3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • 0 points on your MVR
  • No moving violations
  • Clean, safe driving history that meets company and insurance requirements
  • Willingness to work nights and occasional overnight routes
  • Comfortable with physical dock and warehouse work
  • Ability to load/unload freight and use a pallet jack
  • Must pass required DOT drug screen, Clearinghouse review, and background check
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
