Digital Denture Design information

What is a digital denture design?

A Digital Denture Design job involves using specialized CAD/CAM software to create custom dentures for patients. Designers digitally scan impressions or models, adjust denture parameters, and optimize the fit and function before 3D printing or milling. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaboration with dental professionals to ensure high-quality results. Digital denture design improves efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes compared to traditional methods.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed for digital denture design?

To excel in Digital Denture Design, you need a strong background in dental technology, 3D modeling, and CAD/CAM software, often supported by a degree or certification in dental laboratory technology. Expertise with digital dental design platforms such as Exocad or 3Shape, along with familiarity with 3D printing systems, is vital. Attention to detail, good communication, and problem-solving skills help ensure precise fit and effective collaboration with dental professionals. These competencies are essential for producing high-quality digital dentures that meet both functional and esthetic requirements in a fast-evolving dental industry.

What are some typical challenges faced in digital denture design?

A common challenge in Digital Denture Design is achieving a seamless fit and natural appearance while working with digital scans and virtual models, which requires a meticulous eye for detail. You may also need to navigate rapidly evolving CAD/CAM technologies and adapt to new software updates or workflows. Additionally, clear communication with dentists and dental technicians is essential to accurately interpret clinical requirements and patient needs. Overcoming these challenges is rewarding, as it directly impacts patient satisfaction and advances in dental restoration technology.

ExcelHealth Group is hiring a full-time Traveling General Dentist to deliver onsite dental care to residents of long-term care facilities across assigned coverage areas. This role is designed for a mission-driven dentist who wants variety, meaningful patient impact, strong operational support, and the opportunity to practice in fully licensed, well-equipped mobile dental clinics.

Role Type: Full-time traveling position requiring regular travel across assigned service areas, including overnight stays as needed based on facility schedules and patient care needs.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

· Make a direct difference for patients who may have limited access to routine dental care.

· Enjoy a mobile, travel-based role with variety in your workweek and no traditional office routine.

· Focus on patient care while supported by a clinic manager, dental assistant, patient transporter, scheduling, billing, and operational teams.

· Work with modern mobile equipment, tele dentistry support, and an in-house dental lab for dentures and repairs.

Who We Are:

ExcelHealth Group supports clinical teams that bring essential ancillary care directly to nursing facility residents. Our model combines compassionate care, mobile clinical operations, and centralized administrative support so providers can spend more time treating patients and less time managing logistics.

What You’ll Do:

· Travel to nursing homes and long-term care facilities across assigned service areas to deliver care where patients need it most.

· Provide a broad range of dental services, including x-rays, cleanings, exams, extractions, fillings, partials, denture repairs, and denture fabrications.

· Leverage an in-house dental lab that CAD designs, fabricates, and 3-D prints high-quality dentures with digital backup records for efficient replacements.

· Use teledentistry support for urgent care coordination when appropriate.

Tools and Team Support:

· Practice in well-equipped, fully stocked mobile clinics designed to support a professional and comfortable care environment.

· Partner with a dedicated clinic manager, dental assistant, and patient transporter to keep each clinic day organized and patient-centered.

Requirements:

· Active dentist license in good standing, with any additional licensing requirements determined by the assigned coverage area.

· Ability and willingness to travel on a full-time basis across assigned service areas, including overnight stays as needed.

· Must comply with all applicable dental board rules, laws, and regulatory requirements governing dental practice, patient care, employment eligibility, workplace safety, privacy, and nondiscrimination.

What We Offer:

· Company-paid travel expenses, including meals, hotels, and fuel, using a company-issued credit card.

· Paid time off and paid holidays to support work-life balance.

· Health insurance reimbursement.

· Licensing reimbursement for eligible expenses.

· Employer-provided malpractice coverage.

· Basic vehicle maintenance support for travel-related needs.

Schedule and Travel:

· Full-time schedule, five days per week.

· Travel across assigned service areas is required, with overnight stays based on facility locations and business needs.

Compliance Statement:

ExcelHealth Group complies with all applicable employment, dental board, and regulatory requirements, including employment eligibility verification, workplace safety, privacy, and equal employment opportunity standards.
