About the team

We're growing our Product Engineering & Development team and seeking an experienced Junior Developer who can contribute to both delivery and pre-sales activities. Depending on your background, you'll work in one of several technical domains: custom development, integration/middleware, Curam (social program management), DevOps/infrastructure, AI-enhanced development, or Azure cloud engineering. Regardless of your specialty, you'll support technical solutioning with clients and help scope engagements alongside senior team members. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist who can clearly communicate technical concepts and contribute to the sales process when needed. 

What will your typical day look like?

Development delivery and pre-sales tasks (all tracks): 

  • Assist with the analysis, design, and implementation of AI-driven application development and Cloud-based solutions for clients. 
  • Participate in client workshops, meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions and collaborate with technical and business teams to document requirements and solution designs. 
  • Contribute to the development, integration, testing, and deployment of full stack custom and extended package software applications. 
  • Participate in application migration and modernization initiatives, including assessment, planning, and execution. 
  • Research and experimentation with emerging application development, AI/Agentic and Cloud trends, tools, and best practices to support client engagements. 
  • Prepare client deliverables such as presentations, reports, and technical documentation. 

Depending on your technical domain, you will also: 

  • Custom development: Develop and test application features using technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js while following software development best practices 
  • Integration/middleware: Support the development of APIs and integrations between applications and enterprise systems using modern integration tools and platforms 
  • Curam: Assist with the configuration, testing, and support of Merative Curam solutions for health and human services programs 
  • DevOps/platform engineering: Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and infrastructure automation activities while gaining experience with DevOps tools and practices 
  • AI-enabled delivery: Assist in building and testing AI-enabled solutions, including prompt engineering, AI integrations, and AI-assisted software development tools. 
  • Azure cloud engineering: Support the development, deployment, and maintenance of applications and services within the Azure cloud environment.

Must-have qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Basic experience in programming languages, including C#, .NET, Java, Python, or 
  • Familiarity with application development, AI/ML concepts, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud),and data analysis. 
  • Exposure to custom software development, API integration, cloud engineering, or AI-enabled solutions. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional, team-based environments. 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience developing software applications through internships, co-op placements, academic, or personal projects. 
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and project management tools. 
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services. 
  • Demonstrated leadership or teamwork experience through campus involvement or extracurricular activities.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $90,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
