Job Title: Beauty Specialist

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

The Beauty Specialist associate ensures that they deliver the beauty best luxury experience through demonstrations and guidance across all products and services to new and existing clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets and engages customers effectively to create a welcoming environment

  • Demonstrates an ability to read and discover what brands and products are best for a customer by asking open-ended questions.

  • Sells with appropriate demonstration of hygiene.

  • Utilizes vendor supplied support collateral

  • Samples effectively.

  • Sells with integrity and trust while ensuring minimized customer returns.

  • Links selling; offering recommendations of other synergistic products.

  • Shows an ability to build a cosmetic regimen utilizing a variety of brands.

  • Demonstrates willingness and aptitude to team sell.

  • Consistently and accurately enters customer information into POS system

  • Communicates present and future events. Sends thank you cards and follows up with customers through effective clienteling techniques as outlined by Cos Bar.

  • Demonstrates an ability to develop a personal Beauty specialist relationship with customers.

  • Communicates the presence of the Cos Bar social media outlets and loyalty rewards program.

  • Books appointments for events and confirms them.

  • Works with vendor specific AE to plan, organize, and execute events. Demonstrates community and grassroots involvement to promote Cos Bar (i.e., local volunteer work in theater, schools, church, charity institutions, etc.)

  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of core brands.

  • Understands each brand’s philosophy and differentiation.

  • Knows enough to make the best product/brand recommendations to a customer based on their needs.

  • Continuous self-learning by utilizing in-store brand training manuals and collateral to learn more about brands.

  • As a Beauty Specialist, much of the learning is done through self-study and mentorship from other more seasoned Beauty specialists on the team.

  • Ensuring that you keep up with current brand changes.

  • Is expected to actively participate in ongoing vendor trainings

  • Abides by the Dress Code as defined in the Employee Handbooks and may reference the manager if there are any questions or clarifications.

  • Beauty specialist are expected to arrive at work on time and sales “Floor Ready” (Reference employee handbook)

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to follow through on assigned tasks with little or no follow up from management. (Tasks must be completed in a timely matter)

  • Must be flexible in scheduling and help out in store coverage based on business needs.

  • Works well with others while contributing to creating a positive work environment for everyone.

  • Demonstrates eagerness to learn proficiency in processes necessary for daily business but not limited to (packing/unpacking merchandise; receiving and sending transfers; opening/closing)
