A nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm with offices across all 50 states is seeking a Partner-level Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation Attorney to join its Nevada practice. This role is best suited for an attorney whose practice is heavily focused on insurance carrier defense, with approximately 75% or more of their work dedicated to insurance coverage and bad faith litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have deep experience representing insurers in complex first-party disputes, coverage matters, and extra-contractual/bad faith litigation, with the ability to step into and expand an existing institutional platform.
While a portable book of business is not required, candidates with established carrier relationships and/or some level of portable work are strongly preferred.
The attorney will work closely with institutional insurance clients and collaborate with a national litigation team handling sophisticated matters in both state and federal courts.
Why Join the Firm?
  • National Am Law 100 platform with offices in all 50 states and a deep insurance defense footprint
  • Opportunity to step into active institutional insurance carrier relationships and established litigation matters
  • No strict portable book requirement, with flexibility for strong defense litigators without significant originating business
  • Collaborative environment with strong cross-office support across litigation and insurance coverage teams
  • Flexible hybrid or remote structure (Nevada presence required for court appearances)
  • Strong financial stability, low overhead platform, and long-term institutional backing
  • Competitive compensation structure with bonus eligibility and full benefits package
What They’re Looking For:
  • Active Nevada bar admission required
  • Significant experience representing insurance carriers in coverage and bad faith litigation matters
  • Strong background in first-party insurance disputes, coverage analysis, and bad faith defense strategy
  • Experience with motion practice, depositions, mediations, and court appearances
  • Trial experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to manage complex litigation independently while working within a national team environment
  • Prior insurance defense or carrier-side litigation experience strongly preferred
